Boghall corps take British Championships
The Grade 1 Boghall and Bathgate Calendonia Drum Corps took their first major title in 3 years winning the British Championship title at Annan on 26th June. A great day not only for the drum corps but the band overall as they took their 2nd place in Grade 1 following on from their 2nd place at the Scottish Championships in May.

The band and drum corps are now on a break returning later in July where our next outing will be the European Pipe Band Championships in Belfast.

Gordon performs at Celtic Arts Foundation

Gordon has been invited to perform and teach at the Celtic Arts Foundation.
The event takes place in Seatle, Washington State USA from February 4th until February 10th 2010.

Gleren Meneghin competes in Australia
Tom and Gordon would like to congratulate Gleren Meneghin of the Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Grade 1 band who got runner up in the NSW State Drumming Championships.
Gleren is currently in Australia just now where he is guesting with the City of Blacktown Band.

Boghall Nominated For Trad Award
Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band have been nominated for the 2009 MG ALBA Scots Trad Awards.
The band have been nominated in the category band of the year. Also nominated was the 2009 World Pipe Band Championships in the category event of the year.

2009 World Champions Switch To Andante
The 2008 and 2009 World Champion drum corps Simon Fraser University led by J Reid Maxwell have signed a deal moving from Pearl Percussion to Andante Drums.

World Solo Drumming - Gordon takes 3rd place. Craig takes 5th title in 6 years.

Gordon competed at the World Solo Drumming along with several other drummers from the Boghall novices, juveniles and grade 1 corps.
Well done to everyone who competed.
After both events in the adult final Gordon finished in 3rd place overall, finishing first in the hornpipe and jig event.
Congratulations to Barry Wilson from Scottish Power who took his 3rd consecutive adult title.
Huge congratulations also to Craig Brown who once again lifted the Juvenile Section 3 title taking 1st place from 3 of the 4 judges. This was Craigs 5th victory in 6 years.

Product News - Pro-Line Bass and Tenor Sticks Make Debut
Our Pro-Line Tenor and Bass Sticks/Beaters made their debut on Saturday 14th August at the World Pipe band Championships.
Grade 1 finalists, Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia with their Orange Sticks and Ballycoan Pipe Band featuring Baby Blue with the Ballycoan crest.

August Results - Congratulations to Boghall and Bathgate Juveniles
Congratulations to Boghall and Bathgate Juvenile Drum Corps who lifted the World Juvenile Drum Corps prize on Saturday 14th at Glasgow Green. They also finished 2nd as a band.
The Boghall Juvenile corps play Andante Reactor Snare Drums, TG Snare + Bass Drum Carriers/Harnesses, TG2 Drumsticks, our all new Pro-Line Bass + Tenor Sticks/Beaters.
A special mention to Lewis Thorpe from the Boghall Grade 1 corps who has worked hard with the Bass/Mid section over the past few months.

6th June - New Diamond Chrome Drums Debut
The new Diamond Chrome drums arrived from the Andante factory on Friday 5th June and made their debut at Bathgate Childrens Galaday on Saturday 6th June.

The new Reactor side drums and new bass drum with some of the Grade 1 drum corps is pictured above.
All 3 of the Boghall bands turned out to support their local Galaday.

5th June 2009 - New Website Goes Live
We would like to welcome everyone to our new website.
We have tried hard to provide a valuable resource to the pipe band drummer including useful tips and upcoming events. We are also offering our visitors the chance to register and stay up to date with developments, open days and product developments. We will have a new range of tenor and bass products coming very soon and you can find out about them first by registering.
We would like to thank Jason at Scotia Web Design who has worked tirelessly over the last 37 days to put our new site together.
